08 Jul Jeff + Brian | West Seattle Sanctuary at Admiral Wedding
Joy and pride. After having been together for ELEVEN years, the amount of both encompassing this couple on their wedding day was infectious. You could see the joy everywhere–the grooms (naturally), the guests, the vendors, in every smile, in every tear, and every eyes-squeezed-shut hug. There was also so much pride (fitting, since it was Pride weekend). The sense of “finally” was palpable since the grooms decided to wait to exchange rings until it was made legal. This brought a bit of politics to their day and ceremony, but only enough to remind everyone (many from states that still don’t recognize same-sex marriages) that they were witnessing a little slice of history, or to paraphrase their officiant, they were witnessing both marriage and Marriage. Ultimately, though, this was a day about two men in love who’ve created a wonderful life together full of amazing friends and family. It was a pleasure to document it with the talented, Lindsay Borden by my side. Thanks for allowing us to be a part of your day and enjoy this peek inside!
