I’m lucky to call this intelligent, design-savvy, and gorgeous couple friends. And being that they are friends, I was a little nervous headed to their session. What if they don’t like my work? They will either be honest or pretend to, which could lead to some serious awkwardness. Or what if I’m unable to get the shots I usually take? I find being behind the camera like a little bit of a performance. A mix of slightly goofy with exuberance and reassurance to help bring people out of their shells while trying to make the kiddos laugh. Sometimes it can be hard to put on this performance in front of people who know me. With all of these worries in the back of my mind, I arrived at their home and immediately stopped stressing out. First of all, they are seriously sweet and welcoming. Secondly, they have impeccable taste. Thirdly, and let’s be honest–most importantly, they produced one of the most beautiful, calmest babies on the planet. Why was I worrying? It was such a treat working with them and capturing this little slice of their life. I hope you enjoy the session as much as I do!
