12 Apr Meredith, Kevin, and Lemon | Family Photos at Rattlesnake Lake

I met Meredith a couple of years ago at an industry charity gala. First off, I need to state that I’m a terrible networker. I can talk to anyone and love to meet new people, so I should be into it, but there’s just something about the forced nature of networking that makes me instantly say “nope.” Don’t be like me. It’s the biggest weakness of my business, and once I met Meredith, I realized just how much I was missing out. Don’t get me wrong, many networking connections/”friendships” are as real as Trump’s full head of hair, but I should probably give it more of a chance since I could meet a gem like Meredith. She’s the type of woman who wears her heart on her sleeve and has a real enthusiasm for life, which is so refreshing (when it’s genuine) and pairs quite nicely with my inner skeptic–ha ha! Our ying/yang connection has grown over the past two years and I’m so thrilled and lucky to have her as a friend. Today is her fourth wedding anniversary–Happy Anniversary!!–so she asked me to capture her sweet family as a way to celebrate. I was beyond excited to get her in front of my camera since she’s been photographing my family over the past year and a half. We ventured out to Rattlesnake Lake where I ooo’d and ahh’d at the connection she has with her husband, Kevin, the incredible scenery, and of course, their adorable dog, Lemon. Lemon was really only interested in jumping in the lake, so she spent most of her time yelping for freedom (yay for no volume on still photos–ha ha) and even managed to escape once (she’s quick!) but we were still able to get some sweet photos that included her.
